Biography[]

Serving Louis and Armand[]

Rashid arrives with the Paris photo album from 1946-1949. As Molloy's hand tremors, he tells Real Rashid that he shouldn't wear gloves while handling historical documents, as it reduces dexterity. He corrects Molloy and says that his name is just Rashid, rather than "Real Rashid." [1]

Rashid is asked by Molloy how many other humans are out there like him. Rashid suspects it is just enough to help keep vampires hidden, but Molloy retorts that's something only billionaire vampires do. How does the average vampire keep humans in line, Molloy wonders. Threats, perhaps. Rashid replies that the threat is always there and that he could kill them both now, looking to Armand, but he doesn't because they're peaceful beings with a biological imperative that is in conflict with human morality.[2]

Operating as a secret agent for the Talamasca, Rashid joins Molloy for dinner at a lounge, where he meets with Raglan. He excuses himself to the bathroom so they may talk alone. When he returns, he tells Molloy that if he wishes to stay alive, then he probably should've thrown the tapes away when he found them in his mailbox. After they return, Armand questions if they were joined by anyone at dinner or if Molloy was alone at any point, but Rashid insists that they weren't and that Molloy wasn't, even following him into the bathroom.[3]

At the behest of the Talamasca, Rashid delivers Daniel the script from the trial and execution, which exposes Armand as a liar for not only directing the trial and lying about saving Louis, when in actuality, it was Lestat. After making this delivery Rashid abruptly leaves.[4]
