Rolin B. Jones is an American playwright and writer. He is the creator, showrunner, an executive producer, and writer on the AMC gothic horror drama, Interview with the Vampire.
Biography[]
Jones studied filmmaking and English at Cal State Northridge before graduating from the Yale School of Drama in 2004. Two years later, in 2006, he began his television career as a story editor on the Showtime drama, Weeds. By 2009, Jones joined Friday Night Lights as a writer and supervising producer, where he was nominated for two Writers Guild of America Award for Best Drama Series and received a 2010 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. Moving ahead, Jones was the showrunner for the 2020 HBO series, Perry Mason. Some of his other credits include United States of Tara, Smash, Boardwalk Empire, and The Exorcist.
