Seth is the biological son of Queen Akasha, brought into the Blood after a youth of roaming the ancient world in search of knowledge in the healing arts. He was initially part of her army, before rebelling and going off on his own. In the contemporary era, he and his lover and fledgling Dr. Fareed Bhansali create a community of vampire doctors and scientists. He is described as stoic, formal, and rational, and having a courtly demeanor.

He has black eyes and black hair, and is a 'thin giant with very dark skin', with a well-shaped symmetrical skull, high cheekbones and deep set almond shaped eyes. Lestat describes him as looking 'severe'. He maintains an impassive expression except it 'fires' with emotion when he speaks. His voice is deep, slow with an eastern accent, his eyes have a fierce and cold light. He is usually dressed in non-Western clothing from various cultures.
Biography[]
Seth was born as the son of Queen Akasha of Kemet. Shortly after his mother became the first vampire in existence, he is sent away to Nineveh, and spends the next few years traveling the world, learning the healing arts. He is later brought before his mother and turned into a vampire to serve in her Queens Blood army, though he begs to be shown mercy. He eventually leaves Egypt, and has little or no love remaining for his mother.
After Akasha is destroyed, Seth comes to a dying doctor in Mumbai, Fareed Bhansali, and gives him the Dark Gift. Fareed becomes a vampire physician, and the two open a research facility in Los Angeles to research vampire physiology. Seth is intensely protective of his lover Fareed, giving him large transfusions of his powerful blood regularly, allowing him to reach out to older, more powerful vampires without fear of harm. In the mid-nineties, Seth and Fareed contact Lestat, and have him take part in an experiment where he unknowingly impregnates Flannery Gilman, one of their researchers, with his son Viktor. Seth and Fareed are father figures in Viktor's life, and are protective of his well being.
When Viktor and Rose come to New York, Seth makes the call that they should come to Trinity Gate, against Fareed's hesitancy. Seth and Fareed are consulted about finding a new host for the Voice, and are ultimately present for the formation of the Court after Lestat is appointed Prince. Seth and Fareed move to France to help establish the Court, and work to solve the mystery surrounding the Replimoids in Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis. After Rhoshamandes is destroyed, Seth helps the other ancients search for the whereabouts of Marius, Louis, and Gabrielle. After their return, Seth works with Gregory to reach out to other ancients to ask them to come to the Court, and is seen greeting many of them at the final ball.
