The Queens Blood were a group of vampires created by Akasha to follow her and fight against The First Brood. Some members of the Queens Blood knew her as a human, others were kidnapped and chosen to become part of her army. Over time many escaped Akasha, and moved to Europe to establish their own vampire communities.
It is known that one of the rules of the Queens Blood is that they were not allowed to create female vampires, as their only affection was intended to be towards Akasha. Their captain, Prince Nebamun, broke this rule by creating Sevraine, a crime for which he was sentenced to be entombed in the walls of Akasha's shrine, though he was ultimately freed by Rhoshamades after fifty years.
Like the First Brood, the Queen's Blood is deaf to each other telepathically, though may communicate with other vampires using the Mind Gift.
